What is Prayer Dancing?
Prayer Dancing is Prayer in Motion, a sacred display of movement;
the “Dance of the Angels”. Prayerful delivery of movement is
considered to be one of the most beautiful experiences one can have
in communicating with God and his messenger service; angels.
Physical movement is a human action that is familiar and natural.
It is of our spirit. In fact, we move before we take our first breath upon entering this world.
Did you know the transmission of movement can be as powerful in “being”, as stillness is in
traditional forms of meditation? Because Prayer Dancing produces a means of
communicating and centering one’s being, it is often referred to as “Movement Meditation
or Meditation in Motion”. It is truly a very powerful means of co-creating and manifesting
dreams into reality.
I like to think of the Prayer Dancing experience as a ceremony. The word ceremony indicates that there is
something special about to occur and most often it is a celebration laced with devotion. Prayer Dancing is a
combination of prayer and movement that is choreographed using universal laws; i.e. the Law of Three and also
principles of sacred geometry. The prayer dance process is divided into three segments; Sunrise, Sunset and
Twilight which in turn use three movement or rather, spatial elements. These are Body Breaths, Prayer
Patterns, and Heart Returns.
